林凡異老師1997年從國立交通大學電子物理系學士畢業後，赴美進入加州大學洛杉磯分校(UCLA)攻讀電機碩士(1999-2001)及博士(2001-2004)學位，畢業後於2004年到清華大學電機系光電所任教。目前研究方向包括半導體雷射非線性動態、光達與雷達、保密光通訊、生醫光電等。

Fan-Yi Lin received the B.S. degree in Electrophysics from National Chiao Tung University, Taiwan, in 1997 and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles, in 2001 and 2004, respectively. He joined the Department of Electrical Engineering and Institute of Photonics Technologies, National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan in 2004. His research interests include laser dynamics, lidar and radar systems, chaos, and photonic microwave generations.
