English as a Second Language is a class developed to educate non-English speaking students how to speak, read, and write English. ESL classes, with an approved curriculum, offer several levels of instruction including:
Beginning ESL prepares students with basic skills of reading, writing, speaking, understanding and competency skills for English learners.
At a basic skills level for Intermediate competency levels, this course is designed to help a student level gain with transition into post-secondary education, job skills, training, and life skills as goals.
Advanced level students are transitioned into this course with instruction and focus on advanced skills in reading, writing, speaking, listening, employability, job training programs, post-secondary education, and citizenship.
