査証(留学ビザ)の取得について | Getting a student visa
交換留学生としての受入れが決まったら、大学から「留学受入れ承諾書」「在留資格認定証明書」をお送りします。どちらもビザ取得に必要な書類です。
書類が届いたら、お近くの日本大使館（又は日本領事館）で査証発給の申請をしてください。受入れ承諾書、在留資格認定証明書以外の必要書類については、大使館に事前に確認してください。After admitted to Hiroshima Jogakuin University, we will send ‘留学受入れ承諾書(Letter of Acceptance)’ and ‘Certificate of Eligibility (CoE)’ which you need for obtaining the student visa. Ask the nearest Japanese embassy/consulate in your country about the process to get the student visa (留学ビザ).
到着予定と送迎について | Arrival date and Pick-up service
学期開始までに広島に到着するようにしてください。来日予定が決まりましたら、航空便名、到着時間などを到着の1週間前までに連絡してください。 生活環境を整えるため、3～5日程度早めに到着することをお勧めします。1週間以上早く到着したい場合や、開始日に間に合わない時は、早めに相談してください。
JR広島駅から宿舎まで、大学スタッフまたは学生チューターが送迎します。できるだけ平日午前8:30～17:00の間に到着するようにしてください。送迎できない日時の場合、到着した空港や駅の近くに宿泊施設を手配するようお勧めする場合があります。
You should arrive at HJU by the start date of the semester. Please let us know the flight schedule at least 1 week before the arrival date. We recommend that you arrive 3-5 days in advance to acclimate to your new lifestyle. If you want to arrive more than a week early or if you cannot make the start date, please consult with us as soon as possible.
HJU staff will pick you up at JR Hiroshima train station at 8:30-17:00, Monday-Friday. If you wish to arrive at the different date and time, we may suggest that you stay on your own near the arrival airport or train station.
【空港からのアクセス|Access from Airports】
・広島空港から広島駅までリムジンバスで50～60分です。
From Hiroshima Airport: 50-60 minutes by the airport bus.
・関西空港に到着する場合、空港から広島駅まで列車で約3時間です。
From Kansai Airport: 3 hours approx. by train.
・福岡空港に到着する場合、空港から広島駅まで列車で約1.5～2時間です。
From Fukuoka Airport: 1.5-2 hours by train.
宿舎について | Where to Stay
大学のすぐ近くにある家具付きのアパートです。小さなキッチンと、バス・トイレが部屋にあります。シーツやタオルは、持ってくるか到着後に購入してください。荷物を送りたいときは、ご自分が到着後に届くようにしてください。You will stay at the apartment with furniture, just on the opposite of the school gate. The room has a small kitchen and a bathroom. You had better bring bed linens and towels (or buy after arrival). DO NOT SEND ANYTHING BEFORE YOU ARRIVE. If you need to send something before you arrive, please let me know.
インターネットについて| Internet connection
学内には自由に使えるPCがあります。また、図書館などで自分のPCを有線でつなげるほか、いくつかの場所でwifiが利用できます。宿舎には設備がないので、スマートフォンやモバイルルータなどの端末を購入するか持参して、日本のSIMカードを契約して使います。
We have shared desktop PCs for students, and you can bring your own laptop connecting with HJU wifi system on campus in the classroom. Unfortunately there is no internet at the dorm, so you will get a mobile router by yourself.
指導教員・学生チューターについて|Advising teacher and student tutors
指導教員には、履修する授業についてアドバイスをいただくことができます。また、学内外の手続きや生活のアドバイスをする学生チューターが2名います。来日後に紹介します。One teacher and one or two student-tutors will support you at HJU.
履修登録について| Class registration
到着後に、以下のスケジュールで履修登録を行います。指導教員や学生チューターがお手伝いします。After arrival, you should register classes during the following period: (*schedule in 2023)
履修登録(Registration)：September 20-28 (17:00)
修正登録(Change/add/drop)：October 4-10 (12:00)
科目取消(Withdrawal)：November 7-15 (12:00)

資格外活動許可申請について | Part-time Job
留学中にアルバイトをしたい場合、「資格外活動許可」が必要です。入国時に入国管理官に申請してください（入国後に広島市内の入国管理局へ行って手続きすることもできます）。
許可を受けた留学生は、週28時間までアルバイトをすることができます。アルバイト先は大学に報告が必要です。ただし、大学では留学開始から2～3ヶ月間は学外でのアルバイトを勧めていません。深夜のアルバイトなど、してはいけないアルバイトもあります。
If you want to do the part-time job when you stay in Japan with the student visa, you must get the permission called 資格外活動許可(Shikakugai Katsudo Kyoka) from the Immigration Office. You can apply at the Immigration Office when entering Japan.
With the permission, you can work for 28 hours in a week. You must give the detailed information about your work to HJU international office.
Even within the aforementioned hours, you are not allowed to work in the adult entertainment service sector such as a hostess bar or cabaret, where an attendant serves customers at their table, or at a gambling houses, e.g. a pachinko or game parlor. You are not allowed to engage even in washing dishes or cleaning at such places.
