Students admitted to our school demonstrate outstanding performance in the high school entrance examination, with high proficiency levels in subjects such as Chinese language expression, English reading, mathematics, sciences, and social studies achieving the top 3% or higher levels.
Our school is one of Taiwan’s leading academic high schools, and students entering the school get to realize their unique potential. Over the three years in high school, the students receive comprehensive education and specific guidance, resulting in impressive academic achievements when it comes to university admissions.
Nearly 75% of our students successfully gain admission to public universities in Taiwan, with almost 50% of them being accepted to prestigious national universities such as National Taiwan University, National Tsing Hua University, National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, and National Cheng Kung University.
Furthermore, several students choose to pursue higher education overseas every year, with outstanding universities in the United States, Japan, and China being their top choices.

Self-directed Learning
Self-directed Learning
Students at Chenggong High School excel in self-directed learning, taking the initiative to set their own goals, design effective learning strategies, and make full use of available resources to bring their plans to life. Their project outcomes are consistently impressive, earning them invitations to share their work at other schools, such as ZSGH, and even surpassing their peers at the national level in self-directed learning sharings.

For instance, two of our students launched a podcast from scratch, tackling various social issues and gaining a significant following of engaged listeners. Another creative duo designed an innovative plastic bow that functions as a console for action role-playing games. Players shoot arrows by pulling and releasing a rubber string, mimicking the experience of using a real bow—a perfect blend of creativity and engineering.

Many students at Chenggong High School are passionate about STEM, dedicating their time and energy to these subjects. In addition to the outstanding performance on exams, many of them compete in contests, receiving recognition throughout Taiwan and even the world.

Our FRC Team 7497 actively participate in competitions, and they won the Judge Prize on the Hawaii Regional in 2019. In addition, the Computer Study Club often excel in national competitions. The students of our gifted and talented education program constantly participate in the Taiwan International Science Fair. Before graduation, they present a grand showcase highlighting their growth and achievements.

Every year, we organize a variety of contests, including multilingual speech contests and writing competitions, where students showcase their exceptional talents, creativity, and critical thinking skills. Winners of these contests go on to represent the school in regional competitions, often achieving impressive results. Additionally, many of our students participate in the national short essay and reading reflection competition, with nearly half earning prestigious prizes, further highlighting their dedication and excellence.
