iEum Lab is a research group dedicated to understanding human communication. Our work focuses on how speech and other means of communication convey meaning across different speakers and contexts, with particular interests in prosody, emotions, accent, individual differences, and effective training methods. We study communication in first, second and third languages and work with both neurotypical and neurodiverse populations to better understand how speech is perceived learned, and adapted.
