At Central Coast Flyers, we believe your membership should give you real access, not theoretical promises. That’s why we limit the number of members per aircraft type and offer flexible, exclusive-use opportunities for those ready to go further.

Our Mission

We want our members to feel like these planes are theirs — not rentals, but real access with real freedom. Whether you're training, traveling, or exploring, we want every member to enjoy the flexibility and pride of ownership without the full burden of it.

Member-to-Plane Ratios: Quality Over Quantity

We limit the number of active members per aircraft to ensure availability and ease of scheduling. Ratios are tailored to the aircraft's role:

Cessna 150 / 152: Max 6–8 members
Cessna 172 / Piper Warrior: Max 5–6 members
Cessna 182 / Cherokee 6: Max 4 members
Taildraggers / Amphibians: Max 3–4 members
Premium Aircraft (SR22): Max 2–3 members

Once a tier is full, we pause new memberships or add another plane. No waitlists. No congestion.

Membership Tiers and Pricing

Our system is built for fairness and future growth. One-time buy-ins are partially refundable, and monthly dues support maintenance and expansion.

Trainer Tier: $2,000 buy-in, $100/month
Includes: C150, C152, C172, Piper Warrior

XC/Family Tier: $4,000 buy-in, $150/month
Includes: C182, Cherokee 6, Simulator

Adventure Add-On: +$2,000, +$50/month
Includes: Taildraggers, Amphibians, Specialty aircraft

Founder Tier: $10,000 buy-in, $0–$50/month
Includes: Full access, board input, early aircraft access, branding perks

Extended Trips and Aircraft Access

These planes are meant to be used — not just for laps around the pattern.

Want to take a weekend to San Jose? A week to Oregon? Great. Just schedule it in advance. If trips go longer than 48 hours, a minimum daily usage (2–3 hrs/day) or day rate may apply.

We track usage patterns. If consistent conflicts emerge, we grow the fleet. Members should feel ownership-level access — with scalability built in.

Exclusive Use Partnerships

Looking for more control over scheduling and shared ownership?

Option 1: Club-Owned, Member-Reserved Aircraft
• Club owns and maintains the plane
• 2–6 members pay buy-in and dues
• Only those members can schedule it
• Includes maintenance, scheduling, and storage

Option 2: Member-Owned, Club-Managed
• You or your group buy the aircraft
• We manage it: tie-down, maintenance, insurance, scheduling
• You focus on flying, we handle the rest
