Due to the current Covid-19 situation, we would like to inform that the uniforms for GAA will only be distributed from Threads’ Retail outlet in Capital Mall. There will be no uniform sale from the GAA school uniform store.
Threads is implementing a pre-booking facility on Threads’ website where every parent need to pre-book their visit at a date and time (from the available time slots) that is convenient to them before visiting the Threads’ Retail Store to purchase the uniforms. This would help to manage/restrict the number of parents visiting the Retail outlet in line with the Covid-19 measures.
If you are unable to purchase uniform on time or size is not yet available, here are the possible options:
If still not available, you may wear a plain button-down shirt and trousers/skirts in colors similar to GAA uniform (sample: navy trousers/skirt and a light blue shirt).
Please respect UAE and GAA dress code:
No tight clothes.
No spaghetti strap shirt
No exposed mid-riff.
Skirts must be below the knees.
No hoodies
No offensive logos or expressions on clothing
No skirts/ shorts above the knee.
The Secondary Administration may require a student to return home for the purpose of changing clothing. Our policy is: Wear clothing that is respectful to yourself and others.
Please note that the above non-uniform arrangement is temporary until proper uniform is purchased.
SCHOOL UNIFORM STYLES WILL CHANGE EFFECTIVE SEPTEMBER 2023.
We will move from the traditional shirt and tie to a polo shirt design. We believe that this change will create a more cohesive and unified look for our students, and will also be more comfortable for them to wear on a daily basis. From student feedback, this will improve the overall satisfaction with the uniform. Also, we will have different color schemes to differentiate our Elementary, Middle, and High School students. We know that uniforms can be a contentious issue, but we believe this change will have a positive impact on our school community. Families will have the option to use the old style for one year as we transition to the new uniform over the course of the 2023-24 school year.
In the meantime, below requirements are still effective for current school year
Ties and bows will be OPTIONAL starting new school year for Elementary School.
Ties and scarves are MANDATORY for Secondary School, Grades 6-12.
Pre-KG uniforms are the same as KG uniforms. If there are no suitable uniform sizes available, PreK students can wear loose and comfortable tops and comfortable bottoms in blue/white colors (GAA Colors).
