Dear Families,

Our students walked into a new and improved Middle School lounge on Monday morning. Our facilities team had the couches reupholstered, and they look great. 

Our grade 6 students had their field trip to Sea World and grade 7 will go next week on the 7th of March. Please see below for the information for the grade 7 field trip. 

Our theater department put on an amazing two performances this week. What a great show! If you missed it, check out the pics of Matilda below. A big shout out to our director, Ms. Cotman. 

Parent teacher conferences are on Monday and Tuesday next week. Monday will be virtual and Tuesday is face to face. If you are in the building, feel free to drop by and see me in room 242.

Ms. Anderson's Grade 8 English Honours class conducted a ‘sensory tour’ through the classroom where they had items to taste, touch, smell and see. They had to then complete a sensory language sheet that will help build vocabulary for their poetry unit.

March 5 - Mini University Fair

We are excited to announce that GEMS American Academy will be hosting a US University Mini Fair on Tuesday, March 5th, from 10:00-11:00 a.m. in the school's lobby located on the ground floor. This event is an excellent opportunity for students and families to explore various university options and engage in meaningful conversations with representatives from esteemed institutions across the United States.

The mini fair will feature representatives from the following universities:

• Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University

• Miami University of Ohio

• North Carolina State University

• Northern Arizona University

• Pace University

• Regis University

• Slippery Rock University

• Suffolk University

• University of Iowa

• University of San Francisco

• Virginia Tech

• Washington & Lee University

No appointments are necessary for this event, and students and families are welcome to drop in at their convenience. Whether you're a freshman just starting to explore your options or a senior finalizing your college decisions, this mini fair is designed to provide valuable insights and information to help you make informed choices about your future academic endeavors.

It's important to note that this event coincides with Parent Teacher Conferences being held at the school on the same day. We encourage parents and students attending the conferences to take advantage of this opportunity to learn more about the diverse range of universities represented at the fair.
