Check your child for any COVID related symptoms before leaving for school:
Fever (37.5 C or above)
Cough
Body aches
Fatigue
Shortness of breath
Sore throat
Runny nose
Diarrhea
Nausea
Headache
Loss of smell or taste
Daily temperature and symptoms screening is recommended before leaving the house. Individuals who exhibit symptoms or who are feeling generally unwell are required to stay home from school and are urged to see a Doctor for assessment and possible COVID-19 testing if required.
If your child is unwell (please refer to the above section for checklist):
Keep your child home until the symptoms subside.
Inform your department secretary, who in turn will notify your child's homeroom teacher.
Child will be able to return to school with doctor's note or negative PCR test result.
If your child tested negative and doctor confirms other illness, please keep child at home until symptoms subside and child is well.
COVID-related: Your child will be considered as a suspected case of Covid-19, if displaying any signs and symptoms such as cough, fever or breathlessness and:
Child will be moved to Quarantine Room, where they will be monitored by a School Nurse.
Nurse will contact the parents immediately to retrieve the child from the school.
The school shall not administer any medicines to the child.
The school will inform the parents about the nearest hospital and COVID-19 testing center.
If the child tests positive for COVID-19, parents are mandated to inform the school so that they can take measures to secure the health of other students and staff who may have been exposed to the virus.
Student(s) will be able to return to school after 2 consecutive negative COVID tests and doctor's medical certificate.
Notify school immediately by calling GAA's COVID-19 Hotline at 052 1048099 to enable us to activate appropriate response.
Keep your child isolated at home for as per the instructions of Health Authorities.
Child will be cleared to return to school once they have 2 consecutive negative test results, submitting doctor's note and results to the school nurse.
As of March 1, 2022:
Close contact does not need to isolate, if there are no symptoms.
Close contact must test on day 1 and day 7 and share the results with the school.
If tested negative, and without symptoms, student must continue in-person attendance at school.
If tested positive, student must follow DOH positive case requirements and parents must notify school immediately.
Notify school immediately by emailing department secretaries.
Your child does not need to isolate if symptom-free.
Your child will need to test on Day 1 and Day 4.
Once a positive case is confirmed, school leadership/medical team will work with health authorities to identify a list of those in close contact.
Close contact is anyone to have been in close proximity to a positive case. Anyone that has spent longer than 15 minutes, at a distance of less than 1 meters, including people you study with, work with or travel on a bus with. Also includes your family, and anyone that resides in your household.
Contact tracing will begin from 2 days before the onset of symptoms or the positive PCR test result.
Close contacts will be contacted to follow the DOH procedures. It is critical that your parent contact details are correctly on file with the school. This includes emails and local mobile numbers.
No isolation or quarantine required if close contacts are symptom-free.
All areas which may have been accessed will be thoroughly deep cleaned and sanitized following any suspected cases. These areas will be closed immediately until the deep clean is completed.

Students without the completed form will not be allowed on campus, as per official guidelines.
COVID-19 undertaking for all students have been emailed by GEMS Education on August 20 and must be completed as per official guidelines
