Dear Parents,
We understand there are certain concerns around the Coronavirus. We want to assure you that at GAA we are monitoring the situation very closely. GEMS Education is in contact with all the relevant authorities who are working closely with our Health & Safety teams. If you have any travel plans, please ensure that you follow the travel advisories of the countries you are planning to visit. Anyone visiting from China, or who has just returned from China should notify the school. If your child is sick, please refrain from sending them to school and seek medical advice from your GP. We would like to urge parents to avoid reacting to messages on social media and WhatsApp groups. Anything official will come directly through the school.
Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK) has taken efforts to safeguard students and employees working in the education sector, and to maintain a healthy education environment in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. ADEK and the Ministry of Education (MoE) are working closely with the concerned entities to keep education institutions in Abu Dhabi fortified from the virus. As a precautionary measure, all Abu Dhabi education institutions are requested to follow the procedures as sent by ADEK. Please scroll down to view ADEK’s educational guidelines to deal with the virus. For further information about the Novel Coronavirus, please click on the link below:

Please take care if you are travelling during upcoming school break (February 12-13) and follow the general health and safety guidelines provided by local authorities.
Please continue to promote the good hygiene habits among our students.
GAA will continue to follow the School, Ministry of Health and ADEK protocols to ensure the Health and Safety of our students and staff.

Congratulations to our Elementary students, who participated to Trimathlon with Mathnaseum UAE and showed amazing results:
This was a math competition where teams from different schools (GAA, GCIS, ACS, GWA) participated. Each school selected a team of three students per grade to compete in two parts: 1. MAGIC SQUARES and PROBLEM SOLVING, 2. MENTAL MATH
We are extremely proud of all participants and wish them many more achievements to come!
Here are some photos from the prize-giving ceremony:
Our Grade 5 students Nicolas Gainza Yepez and Eshal Siddiqui from GAA Roots and Shoots attended an awards ceremony on February 6, 2020. These students created a poster and a video that was shared with all attendees, including Dr. Jane Goodall. The students shared what they have done this year to raise environmental awareness and help the community including promoting proper recycling habits, donate plastic bottles to be turned into clothing, and completing eco- friendly crafts.
