HyperDocs are a unique tool that can be used to engage learners of all ages in a variety of ways. In this course, you will explore practical applications for using HyperDocs in your instructional setting. You will also have time to practice creating HyperDocs that can be used with students & staff.

Note: You must complete all six (6) sections of the course to request a certificate of completion.

Take ten (10) minutes to review each of the samples below. The examples highlight how HyperDocs can be used across content areas and in creative & fun ways!

Explore

HyperDoc Templates & Samples

There are an endless amount of HyperDoc templates & samples that are available for you to use in your instructional setting. Explore the HyperDocs website and complete the following:


  1. Spend 10-15 minutes exploring these resources.

  2. Find 2-3 templates that you would like to copy and use with students or staff.

  3. Save a copy of each template in your Google Drive. You will complete an activity with these documents later.

Brainstorm

Share the thoughts and ideas that you have about how you can use HyperDocs.

Add your ideas to the Padlet, and be sure to read what others have contributed. Include any pros/cons that you see for implementation.


Practice

Practice Makes Progress

It's time to practice creating HyperDocs to use with your learners. Complete the following:


  1. Take a look back at the templates/samples that you saved into your Google Drive in Step 4.

  2. Choose one (1) template to develop completely.

  3. Take the next 15 minutes to modify the template to meet your instructional needs.

  4. Use the embedded timer to keep track of your practice session.

Verify Course Completion

Complete the form to verify course completion, and request a certificate.
