Event Highlights: EDU-FIT WP3 multiplier event
On May the 17th 2024, the EDU-FIT held its first public online multiplier event tittled: “Developing Guidelines for a healthy menu: eat healthy and stay healthy”. This event, developed within the work being developed in work package 3, had the objective of discussing healthy eating guidelines for students and cafeterias.
To achieve this goal, three speakers from EDU-FIT countries (Croatia, Slovenia, and Slovakia) were invited to share their expertise. The event lasted from 14:00 CET to 16:00 CET and its agenda was as follows:

All presentations are available on EDU-FIT’s website, under the “resources” tab, in PDF form. Furthermore, the full event was recorded and uploaded on youtube, so that participants who couldn’t attend the session live, could still benefit from the event. In fact, at it’s peak, EDU-FIT’s workshop had 48 attendees, and a lively Q&A discussion, where participants expressed, among other topics, their concerns about vegetarian and vegan food options for students.
Other points of note about the event:
from the 100 people that signed up to the event the most represented nations were Portugal with 56.3%, and Croatia with 21.9%. The ages of sign-ups ranged from 18 to 64, and most were connected with local universities associated with the EDU-FIT project.
73 people were interested in joining the EDU-FIT community to be invited to future events and activities.
