Directions: print out the cube pattern. CUT on the solid lines and FOLD on the dashed lines to create a cube! To keep the cube shape, you may need to use glue or tape. Once you have created your cube, use it once a day to decide one new activity to do that day! To customize your cube, you can color it, or create a new one and add your own ideas!
This week, we will be making instruments with materials found at home! There are pictures of three instrument options below, and directions on how to make the instrument next to each picture.
Materials needed:
Cans (leftover soup cans, coffee cans, and more!)
Balloons
Rubber bands
Mallet (you can use a popsicle stick, spoon, and more!)
Scissors
Directions:
Clean the can, both the inside and outside, that you will be using.
Using scissors, carefully cut off the top (the large part that gets blown up) of the balloon.
Stretch the large part of the balloon onto the top of the can.
Wrap a rubber band around the balloon and can (see the picture) so it stays in place.
Use the mallet you found to play!
Materials needed:
Tissue box
Popsicle sticks
Paper towel roll
Four Rubber bands
Tape
Glue
Directions:
Make sure the tissue box is empty!
Glue popsicle sticks onto both sides of the hole in the tissue box (see picture).
Wrap four rubber bands around the tissue box, crossing the popsicle sticks and hole.
Make sure the paper towel roll does not have any paper towels left!
Tape (or glue) the paper towel roll to one end/side of the tissue box (see picture).
Have fun playing your guitar!
Materials needed:
Plastic egg
Two plastic spoons
Rice or beads
Tape
Directions:
Fill your plastic egg with rice or beads, and close it. Give it a shake to see how it sounds!
