The Society of Postdoctoral Scholars at the University of Kentucky hosts their Annual Research & Career Symposium to showcase the work of UK postdoctoral scholars and fellows, promote networking among the UK research community, and encourage discussions on career paths for postdocs and PhD students.

The objective of the symposium is to give postdocs an opportunity to share their research, celebrate their successes, network with peers (including graduate students & faculty), develop professionally, and learn about possible career options.
Who is invited?
Who is invited?
The Society of Postdoctoral Scholars promotes the exchange of ideas across disciplines. As such, postdocs from all fields are invited to participate!
The Society of Postdoctoral Scholars also aims to foster cross-generational conversations with up and coming PhDs as well as established faculty. As such, graduate students & faculty are welcome and encouraged to attend! In fact, given how broad and diverse the audience will be, postdoc presentations will be general and accessible to a wide audience.
How much does it cost?
How much does it cost?
There is no charge to present at or attend the symposium. The Society of Postdoctoral Scholars and the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs provide funds to ensure access to these critical conversations to all junior scientists and scholars.
The 2025 Annual Research & Career Symposium is also supported by a Conference and Workshop Grant awarded to The Society of Postdoctoral Scholars and the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs by the Office of the Vice President for Research.
