My research focuses on environmental politics, US-Mexico relations, and the effects of research extraction on local communities, particularly in the Americas.

I earned my BA in Political Science and International Affairs from the University of California Riverside. I joined Professor Kim Yi Dionne's Publicly Engaged Research Laboratory, where I worked on several projects. Along with my fellow DPERLab members, I co-authored the research paper Undergraduates and Political Science Research: Insights from Research Assistants in a Minority-Serving Institution Lab. As the main author, I was thrilled to see it published in Cambridge University Press's PS: Political Science & Politics journal on March 29, 2023.

I was invited to the University of Southern California's Political Science and International Relations Summer Predoctoral Institute for First-Generation and Diverse Scholars program. This selective program helped me prepare for Ph.D. applications and connect with USC's distinguished faculty and graduate students.

Before transferring to UC Riverside, I earned two Associate Degrees for Transfer in Political Science and Psychology from Imperial Valley College, graduating with Distinction in June 2021. In June 2019, I received the Imperial County Office of Education Superintendent's Scholarship for my community impact, including founding Brawley Union High School's first Mental Health Awareness club.
