This report covers the topic of Redlining, a discriminatory practice, that still affects Los Angeles today. I was able to accomplish tasks such as Georeferencing, Table Joins, Data Management, Vector Digitization (creation of point feature class), and the creation of an interactive map.
This project was created for my Intermediate GIS class using QGIS and Google My Maps and is an example of one of my Critical GIS projects. Given the freedom to pick any topic, I chose Redlining due to its impacts still prevalent today that affect communities and spaces that I align in/with.

This project covers the environmental challenges that LA and Riverside County face. It emphasizes the need for green space initiatives to combat air pollution, while also considering the risk of green gentrification.
I created the Site Suitability Maps for Riverside and Los Angeles. As well as the racial demographic maps for both counties, including the maps that consider both racial demographics and CalEnviroScreen Scores for Riverside County.
These maps were created using ArcGIS Pro utilizing skills such as Table Joins, Data Management, Data Visualization, and teamwork.
