Mindanao Suite is collectively named for the various predominantly Muslim ethnolinguistic groups in the Philippines, most concentrated in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao. These performances often draw influence from South and Southeast Asian dance forms and are characterized by the sound of the kulintang, a type of gong ensemble.
