National Superhero Day Celebration

at Santa Monica Public Library (SMPL)

About National Superhero Day

Established in 1995, National Superhero Day was created by Marvel Comics employees [1]. It is observed on April 28th every year to "honor superheroes, both real and fictional" [2]. In honor of superheroes large and small, fictional and in real life, SMPL will be celebrating National Superhero Day at all five library branches on April 28, 2019. We will have superhero-themed activities at each branch and various graphic novels for all ages on-display. This webpage contains more information about these events and provides information on a sample of our graphic novels in the children's collection that are available to rent. We hope to see you there in your finest superhero attire on April 28th!
