Office hours are traditionally time outside of the classroom for teachers and students to meet in a more informal and personalized setting to talk through ideas, discuss strategies and methods for getting assignments done, and to get to know one another better. During this special time set aside for workshopping, ideating, spitballing, roadmapping, and brainstorming, the hope is that our goals become a little clearer and closer and that we have a better understanding of how to achieve them successfully. I’ve spent a fair amount of time in academia, and while it is an imperfect space, the metaphor of office hours closely resembles what I want this podcast to be about. During my office hours, I’ll talk to interesting people to share in what they're working on or thinking deeply about. Sometimes, it will just be me, sharing with you what I’m learning and think could be helpful to others. Ultimately, it’s about life-long learning, and as a cultural scholar, there’s nothing that that doesn’t include. So, please visit as often as you’d like, and I hope this becomes a productive and worthwhile exchange for all involved and listening in.
