As a Digital Research Consultant at the Institute for Digital Research and Education at UCLA, I support scholars who use deep machine learning to conduct research. I work with the team that manages UCLA's Hoffman 2 high-performance computing cluster, and am developing support for humanists interested in applying high performance computing methods within their research.
I have also worked Tim Tamgherlini (UCLA) and Pete Broadwell (Stanford) on a Kpop AI project in which we used pose detection software on a corpus of Kpop music videos to create a data set of figure coordinates that could be analyzed. For more on the project, see: http://kpopspace.org/. Please also see the article that was published in 2021: http://digitalhumanities.org/dhq/vol/15/1/000506/000506.pdf.
