REVIEW the Schedule of Classes and Timetable to make sure your preferences don’t conflict.
Note that you need special permission from Syracuse Abroad to take any course not found on the Schedule.
READ course descriptions.
VERIFY that you meet any prerequisites.
DETERMINE your Italian language level.
CONSULT with your academic advisor(s) or home institution.
Highly suggested; it is your responsibility to know your degree requirements and ensure your course plan will keep you on track for graduation.
Similarly to main campus registration, you may not get into all of the courses you want during online registration despite having a solid plan. Having a few back-up options will give you greater flexibility = less stress!
Your advisor may need course descriptions or syllabi of the courses you want to have approved. You have access to sample syllabi on the Blackboard organization "Florence Spring 2025 Program Information".
KEEP AN EYE OUT for an email from the Florence Academic Team regarding how to access syllabi online plus additional academic information.
VISITING STUDENTS: You will only have access to our Blackboard organization with sample course syllabi after you have activated your NET ID. Be sure to also set up your syr.edu email since this is the official means of communication from Syracuse University. For more information see Your SUID Number in OrangeAbroad.
Now that you've started planning your schedule (with back up options!)...
