These are updates to the Schedule of Classes after review of the Course Preference Forms.
ADDITIONAL SECTIONS:
Due to a large amount of students requesting ITA 202, we have added another section. NOTE the times of the sections offered:

Due to high demand, an additional section of HST 300 Walking Florence has been added. NOTE the time change below:
HST 300.15 Walking Florence will now be offered MW 9:15-10:45
HST 300.17 Walking Florence will be offered MW 11:15-12:45
Due to insufficient interest, the following courses will not be offered this spring:
ARI 231.2 Drawing I: Observation TTh 9:30-12:30 NOTE: students originally interested in this course have been notified and provided alternative options, including the MW 1:30-4:30 section which is still being offered.

PSY 375.3 Cross-Cultural Psychology TTh 3:30-5 NOTE: students originally interested in this course are encouraged to enroll in PSY 375.1 MW 3:30-5:00 or PSY 375.2 MW 5:15-6:45.
Based on information from the submitted Course Preference Forms, some courses are likely to reach capacity and close during registration. Be sure to have some alternative classes identified (and even placed in your Shopping Cart in MySlice), in case a class you would like to take is closed when you register. If you need to re-work your schedule, we've identified other courses to consider.

ITA 101 sections meeting at 11:00 am NOTE: there are seats for all in these required language courses but you may need to register for an 8:30 section.
NOTE for Studio courses: many studio art courses are expected to be filled by Studio Arts Program students. Those not on the Studio Arts program that indicated a studio courses on their CPF will be contacted regarding open spots in the upcoming week. Other students interested in taking one of these courses may have an opportunity to add after arrival in Florence, pending availability.
Please read the following restrictions carefully as there as updates. You should not plan to register for any courses where you do not meet restrictions or pre-requisites.
Some courses are open only to students admitted to Florence Special Programs (Architecture, Design, Engineering & Studio Arts) as noted on the Schedule of Classes.

This University of Florence course affords Syracuse Florence (SUF) students an exciting opportunity to study alongside Italian undergraduates. The class is taught in English on the SUF campus and follows the SUF calendar.
Students must attend a mandatory meeting during Welcome Week (more information available in the Orientation Booklet you receive when you arrive in Florence).
Enrollment priority for the following courses goes to Food Studies, Nutrition Science, and related majors who may enroll in two. Non-majors are limited to one of these courses:
FST 300 - Vine to Table: Italian Wines in Context (any section)
FST 402 - Feeding the City: Urban Food Systems
NSD 452 - Mediterranean Food and Culture: Florence Experience (any section)
Students may only register for one of the following courses, since similar content is covered in each:
ANT 300 - Food, Culture and Identity (either section)
NSD 452 - Mediterranean Food and Culture: Florence Experience (any section)
HST 300.13 - Edible Histories: Mediterranean Food Cultures Through Time And Space
Students may not register for HOA 320 - Italian Renaissance Art (any section) with any of the following courses, due to demand and since similar content is covered:
HOA 203 - Italian Arts from Antiquity to Michelangelo (any section)
HOA 321 - Leonardo da Vinci
HOA 424 - Sixteenth Century Italian Art and Identity
Psychology courses:
UPDATE: Psychology courses are no longer restricted to majors/minors. PSY majors/minors may take 2-3 courses; all other students may take 1 Psychology course. Priority in select courses goes to majors/minors.
Students who disregard these directives will be dropped from the additional restricted course (MySlice will not prevent you from registering for more than one of these courses).
