French class levels:

ALL Students at Beginning (100) or Intermediate (200) levels:

Take the appropriate 4-credit language instruction course: FRE 101,102, 201, or 202.

ALL Students at an Advanced level (300 or 400):

If you have already completed four semesters of college-level French (and/or are at that level of proficiency), choose one or more of the following 3-credit Center courses:

• FRE 300.3 - Beyond the Hexagon: The (Grammatical) Discovery of France's Regions

• FRE439/HOA365 Art in France from Impressionism to Surrealism

• FRE 400 - To the Barricades! The People & Movements that Made France

Students participating in a partner (local) university program take classes taught in French at the local university as well as French Center classes. 

Cross-listed class(es)

Taught in French (upper-level) and registered by the French prefix. 

During the schedule adjustment period early in the semester, you may elect to receive alternative credit: 

• FRE / HST 400.2 To the Barricades! 

• FRE439 / HOA365 Art in France from Impressionism to Surrealism

All students in the class must meet the language prerequisite to enroll in this Center class!
