STEP SIX: PREPARE TO REGISTER

ONLINE REGISTRATION: NOVEMBER 8-14

In late October you will receive information, instructions, and your appointment time for online registration via MySlice.

• Be sure to regularly check your syr.edu email for this information.

• It can be helpful to refer to your uploaded SAF when you register. You can access this form in OrangeAbroad: Student Advising Form (with Advisor’s Signature).

•  During online registration, you may register for no more than 17 credits (15-17 credits is the recommended load for a study abroad semester). 

• If you need to take more than 17 credits, contact Kelsey Hanbach, Assistant Director of Curriculum and Academic Services at Syracuse Abroad, prior to the registration period to explain your need.

  • • If you would like (but don't need) to take more than 17 credits, you may request to add a course - based on availability - during schedule adjustment in early January when the maximum load is raised to 19 credits.

• Some courses are likely to reach capacity and close during registration. Be prepared by having approved alternative classes from your Student Advising Form in mind in case a Primary Selection is closed when you register.
