Def- Structural System: an assembly of articulated and/or independent parts serving a common purpose. A stable assembly of structural elements meant to transport applied loads to the ground.
Structural systems can take many forms. To the left is a collection of the most common ones. Some of these act as full systems by themselves such as the dome, whereas others take many elements of the same form to create a full systems such as the load-bearing wall.
Under the Taxonomy of Structural Systems tab, the frame structural system is explored further.
