A Swedish biologist and physician who formalized binomial nomenclature, the modern system of naming organisms. He is known as the father of modern taxonomy.

His work lets us know how closely related other species are.  For example Humans are closely related to Chimpanzees (we share about 98% of our DNA).  There's also 94% with Dogs and 90% with Cats
