As per the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles, the Riverhead High School Driver's Education Program will be the traditional in-person lecture and driving school-based (All Suffolk Auto), in-car driving instruction, framework for our program. We will begin registering for our Summer Session, which starts in July of 2026. Please Note: Enrollment will be limited to 32 participants. Registration and submission of required information is necessary to hold your spot. In the event, that registrations exceed the number of available spots we will prioritize enrollment by grade and transfer other registrants to our waiting list.

First, you will complete the online registration for this course (click the above link), then we will make an appointment to meet with you to collect the following items, and give you the required parent curriculum packet:
A clear single-page photocopy of your child's permit
A clear single-page photocopy of the Parent Waiver; the waiver must be signed by one parent/guardian & the student. Click here for the Parent Waiver.
Cash, check, or money order (non-refundable, payable to "RCSD") for the current registration fee of $795.00 ** In-Person Lecture and In-Car Instruction Included

To be considered for this program, all participants must be Riverhead High School students who are in good standing, at least 16 years of age, and currently in possession of an NYS-issued Permit or Junior License prior to registration.
(This course is not intended for students 18 years of age or older - please reach out to the Driver Education Office for additional resources if you will be turning 18 during the season or are currently 18 years of age.)
