The overall goal of the P.A.C.K.S. classroom management system is to develop an instructional structure in which students are responsible, motivated, and highly engaged in the specific task at hand. More particularly, the teacher's goal is to teach students directly how to be successful in specific class situations.
P.A.C.K.S. Guidelines for Success
Participation: How do students show they are fully participating? What does work behavior look like?
Activity: What is the task/project?
Conversation: Can students talk to each other during this activity and at what voice level? How do students get the teacher’s attention and their questions answered?
Knowledge: What is the learning objective? What will students know after the lesson/project? What will students do when they need help?
Skills: What essential skill will the student learn?
