RISD STUDENT & FAMILY COUNSELING PROGRAM
RISD offers a series of six free, skills-based counseling sessions to selected students to assist them to be more successful in school. A “skills-based” counseling session is one in which the student and his/or her family may participate to address pre-identified objectives, such as self-advocacy, self-regulation, healthy peer relationships, etc. The sessions are not intended to be therapeutic counseling sessions. Each counselor who participates in the program is a professional school counselor. RISD does not promise or guarantee any particular result from participation in the program.
