The Junior Collective Theatre Camp is BACK!
Week One: The Lost Underground and Junior High Theatre Skills Camp
Elementary Campers (entering grades 1-5) spend a week pretending and creating at theatre camp! Work with Mrs. Cooper to put on an entire short play in just one week. Campers will play theatre games, learn blocking, build sets, create props, construct puppets, and spend lots of time on stage.
Junior High Campers (entering grades 6-9) choose their own adventure! Each day of camp will focus on a specific skill for Theatre. Campers can choose to attend as many or as few days as they like! Each day, the campers will get to take home something they made at camp that day. The final day of Skills Camp will focus on Auditions, and Campers will get written feedback from Mrs. Whitman on their audition skills!
Week Two: Elementary Ensemble Camp and Junior High Musical Camp
Elementary Campers (entering grades 1-4) can attend a half day camp, led by ACM theatre teacher, Mrs. Cooper and ACM music teacher, Mrs. Dresel. Campers are invited to be a part of the musical ensemble of Willy Wonka KIDS. Campers will learn choreography, blocking, and music to perform with the big kids in a final performance on Friday.
Junior High Campers (entering grades 5-9) will have a full day camp, where they will spend the week rehearsing and preparing to perform, Willy Wonka KIDS! This show has plenty of opportunities for both performers and technicians, and you don't want to miss out!
All campers are guaranteed a role in the show and are not required to audition. Campers in grades 5-9 who would like to be considered for a principal (speaking) role will be asked to audition on Friday afternoon, June 5th.
