Rather than ending your class with a long exit ticket, you can use an emoji exit ticket to mix things up in a creative way. The picture on the left shows an example of an emoji exit ticket, but an easier way to do this is by using google classroom!
Due to the fact that the Chromebooks can't use emoji, you can use this image to give the students options.
To set this up you need to create a question on google classroom, attach this image to the question and set the response to a short answer response. Make sure that students cannot reply to each other's answers and cannot edit their response. For the question, you would ask the students to write the name of the emoji as their response, and if you would like for them to elaborate on their response ask them to explain why they chose that emoji.
Another way this can be done is by printing out the picture and asking the students to circle an emoji for their answer.
As a student I think that an emoji exit ticket could be an interesting change to the usual, block of text exit ticket.
