Registration takes 2 steps:
Students must be enrolled in the course in college board using their teacher's join code at https://myap.collegeboard.org and choose to take exam. This is how we order exams.
ALL College Board Join Codes will be in Total Registration, so you do not need your teacher to give you a Join Code. Once you register on total registration your confirmation email will have the College Board join code for each class as an attached PDF- this is sent to the students email not in the parent confirmation email. The join codes can also be found in total registration if you login in with the account you created to register you can select “J J Pearce High School Reprint a Confirmation - Access your registration confirmation page” and the join codes are in a box on the left of the page under AP course information.
2. Registration and Payment for Pearce is done through Total Registration, www.TotalRegistration.net/AP/445839
Students must have access to their college board account to register for AP exams this year
The students must have their own e-mail address associated with their account. You may use the student’s g.risd account; however, if you do, the account will not exist after graduation. You are encouraged to use the student’s personal email if they have one.
If you have problems with your account, please contact College Board. Teachers and counselors cannot talk to the College Board on the student’s behalf. Here is a link with College Board Account and Contact information: https://pages.collegeboard.org/account-help
Please have your student put their College Board login somewhere in their phone – in the notes or a photo of the username and password. They will use this multiple times in high school in class and for testing.
If a student wants to take an exam for a class they are not enrolled in they need to email Kerri Brown and she will provide an independent study section for the student.
Parents/Guardians should review their student's Registration for correctness and information.
You must complete your total registration through your HOME campus.
If you are taking a class with a teacher who is not from your home campus you should enroll in the PHS exam only section of that course to be able to order your exam and take it at Pearce in May.
You will then be enrolled in 2 of the same course in your AP classroom
You should mark “NO” for taking your exam in the course that is not associated with your school and “Yes” to taking the exam in the exam only section from your home campus!
You can find the exam only code from your teacher or from total registration- you will register as “independent study”
