The Richardson ISD Foundation provides scholarships to help students pay for their future in technical schools, colleges, universities or vocational schools. This year, the Foundation is proud to team up with several community partners to offer $68,000 in scholarships to graduating seniors in the Richardson Independent School District.

Apply Texas & FAFSA for Dallas County Promise Deadline – Wednesday, March 1, 2023!!!
March 1st is the final admission and financial aid application deadline for Dallas County Promise scholarship eligibility @Dallas College (Richland, El Centro, Brookhaven, Eastfield, North Lake, Cedar Valley, and Mountainview campuses)
What does this mean? This means you MUST have your Apply Texas admission application and FAFSA/TASFA financial aid application submitted by March 1st. These colleges MUST have access to your financial aid.

Bring your parent’s 2021 Tax Return and we’ll help you complete it

Financial Aid applications opens October 1, 2022!
FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid):
• Apply for the FAFSA at: www.fafsa.gov
• Must be U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen
• Seniors will complete the 2023-2024 FAFSA using the student and parent's 2021 tax return information.
• Before beginning the FAFSA, set up your FSA ID at: https://studentaid.gov/fsa-id/create-account.
You and one parent will need an FSA ID.

TAFSA (Texas Application for State Financial Aid) www.collegeforalltexans.com
• TASFA is for non-citizens and certain international students who are classified as Texas residents
• The student must be of certain nonimmigrant status (must not be an eligible noncitizen for FAFSA)
• Have graduated from a public high school in Texas
• Have resided in Texas for 36 consecutive months (3 consecutive years) leading up to graduation of high school
Seniors will complete the FAFSA or TASFA – not both.
Financial Aid Requirement for Class of 2023:
Texas Education Code (TEC), §28.0256 states that each student must do one of the following in order to graduate:
• Complete and submit a FAFSA - or
• Complete and submit a TASFA - or
• Submit a signed Opt-Out Form
