WHAT IS IGNITE?

Ignite is a Richardson ISD program with the purpose of REigniting a love for learning among students who would benefit from personal and educational support. The focus is on improving literacy skills and the social and emotional health of students through STEM, entrepreneurship and literacy. The Ignite program works every year to identify between 150-200 junior high-aged students across Richardson ISD who have demonstrated past academic achievement and leadership potential then offers them an enriching educational experience in the summer in an effort to increase their success in junior high, high school, and beyond.

Attending Ignite Summer Program is a privilege and Richardson ISD is pleased to extend invitation to current RISD students who are nominated by their campus counselor.
