Attendance

Attendance will be taken at the beginning of EACH class period in our FOCUS portal.  Students, arriving after the first 20 minutes, will be counted absent. To regularly keep up with your student's attendance, be sure to set up your parent FOCUS account today!

Parents will receive absence notifications via Blackboard Connect each day. If the student is absent due to an illness, the parent must email the school front office (britney.thornton@risd.org) and teacher with the reason for absence. 

State law and RISD policy require students to attend at least 90 percent of their classes or calendar days to receive credit and be promoted.
