Hi everyone! Please let me know if you discover you have a pregnant student or a student who is already a parent in one of your classes. BHS is much too large for me to find every student who needs the Life Skills Program for Student Parents. All information is kept confidential. Thank you!
The Life Skills Program consists of:
· Prenatal education
· Parent education
· Social service referrals and assistance
· Information about paternity establishment and initiation of child support payments
· Career guidance
· Nutrition education
· Assistance in accessing medical care
· Case management
· Crisis counseling assistance and referral
· Home instruction (after the baby’s birth)
· Help with daycare assistance
· Just about anything our students need to be successful and graduate (including tutoring)
