The Renton High School Orchestra is a large ensemble that meets during the regular school day. This ensemble is open to all students with prior experience on an orchestra instrument, or students who gain director approval. Enrollment in this ensemble is yearlong.
Instruments: violin, viola, cello, double bass
String ensemble that performs at festivals, concerts, and events throughout the school year.
Open to students in 9th-12th grade with previous orchestra experience
Beginning students allowed with instructor approval only
Meets daily during school day as a graded class for credit
Must be enrolled yearlong (Orchestra A, B, & C)
Opportunities for piano and harp are available depending on the literature we are studying.
These parts are not guaranteed. Students are required to play another string instrument when not on piano/harp.
