WEEKLY MESSAGE for the week of APRIL 27th to MAY 1st, 2020

Dear Families and Students,

Welcome to our second week online! Hopefully by now, you all have a way to access this website and google classroom. You are able to find links to this website on your teacher's website. For example, if you go to the website for 1st grade, you will also find a link to this page. To access additional content for music, you can also join our Class Dojo where Mr. Dupea and Mr. Deuel post videos of songs and important messages.

This week in Music Class, we wanted to provide a chance for you to create music, listen to music, respond to music, and hopefully connect music to something in your life. The daily themes are "Mountains", "Steps", Spell your name", "Hearts" and "Skips". We also invite you to explore the world through music by listening to: Raga from India, Batucada from Brazil, Taiko from Japan, Mariachi from Mexico and also a funny video with a cellist and two violists. I've also added videos of folksongs sung by me (I have a hard time listening to myself sing but I did it anyways!). Please enjoy!

In P.E this week you will focus on the five different components of fitness: Muscular Strength, Muscular Endurance, Skill Based Practice, Nutrition, Flexibility and Cardio-respiratory Endurance! Make sure to have fun and be creative with these exercises and email Ms. Seth or Mr. Wheeler with any videos or pictures of you performing the exercises. Also, look forward to a TikTok challenge on Monday of this week!

We miss you all! Please use our emails to let us know your thoughts. We'd love to hear from you. Use this link to go to our website: Music and P.E.

Sincerely,

Ms. Seth, Mr. Deuel, Mr. Wheeler and Mr. Dupea
