Renton HOSA volunteers participated
Central Washington University in partnership with WA HOSA provided a free, interactive, career-focused workshop to RHS HOSA. Much thanks for Dawn McReynolds for coming to Renton High School! Students discovered how careers in Safety and Health Management combine communication, problem solving, and teamwork to keep workplaces and communities safe. The workshop included:
Sketch and investigate a mock accident scene
Collect and analyze "evidence" to find the root cause
Spot hidden hazards in the workplace
Race to gear up with the right PPE
In preparation for our future competitions, RHS HOSA hosted a CERT Skills workshop!
Members got to learn life-saving skills and demonstrated in real life through various emergency scenarios.
Members got valuable insight on how to improve their performances in the CERT skills event.
Renton HOSA is volunteering with a nonprofit organization called Arts4Hearts, which is dedicated to making art for foster children.
Renton HOSA held several meetings where our members helped make beaded bracelets to donate to Arts4Hearts. Not only did this activity promote community bonding, but our members also participated in service to help make a change, while also receiving community hours.
