Litter Pick

RUBBISH WALKS

As part of the ongoing campaign to improve our community spaces the group have taken part in rubbish walks. A lunch time walk to clear the mind, but also to help clear the streets of litter. Walking and collecting as they go.

Beach Clean

The group met one Saturday morning, drove to the nearest beach and spent the morning collecting all kinds of nasties. Dog poo bags, drinks cans, fast food containers and fishing wire to name but a few. 12 bags of litter were removed in that one morning.

Litter Pick

The Interact group held a ‘big spring clean’ in and around Stanhope Park.

Litter and plastic are an issue that everyone is now more aware off and something that we should all be doing something to reduce or prevent.

Students and staff from the college as well as Darlington Friends of the Earth group took part.
