Our now annual London trip takes place each September when we take a group of second year students to the capital.
We'll visit the British Library, tour Shakespeare's Globe Theatre, enjoy a show in the West End, and much more!

Theatre Trips
We like to provide opportunities for students to attend theatre productions of our set texts when available, but we also like to provide enrichment opportunities to see other shows and productions to help build the cultural capital of our students and their appreciation of the arts.
We often take students to university visits to provide them with a better understanding of what HE has to offer. This might be as part of a subject taster day, or as part of a university organised event. For example, we attend the annual Orwell Youth Prize event hosted by the University of Sunderland and in conjunction with the Orwell Foundation. Check out the video to see more!
We regularly provide our students with opportunities to deepen their understanding of topics and issues by inviting external speakers into college. For example, we have excellent links with Durham University who provide lectures on set texts to our students. We also work with the Elysium Theatre Company who have provided workshops for our students. We also work with external partners such as the Arthur Wharton Foundation - find out more in video above!
