The Combined Cadet Force (CCF) is a partnership between schools and the Ministry of Defence. Joining the CCF provides a wonderful opportunity to take part in Army themed activities and events, all of which focus on building disciplined individuals with self-confidence and a sense of belonging. As a youth organisation, the CCF strives to give cadets a fun and safe experience. There is no commitment or expectation of cadets to join the regular Armed Forces when they have completed their time at college.

QE VI CCF first started in 2014 growing year by year. We have close links with our brigade cadet training team and our local reserve unit 50 Signal Squadron allowing us to utilise their experience and expertise to offer you a wide range of activities including: skill at arms, shooting, first aid, navigation, field craft and signals communication training.

As part of your training with us you will walk away with national qualifications recognised by both employers and the military. These include Junior Instructors qualification, cadet signaller qualification, BTEC in teamwork and personal development and St Johns Youth First Aid, in addition to developing your teamwork, initiative, responsibility, self-reliance and resourcefulness.
