Title: Preparing for parent conferences & DMACC Perry Career Academy Presentation (9:30)
Objective: Students will schedule their conference & attend informational meeting on DMACC Program Offerings for 2024-25
ASCA Mindsets & Behaviors Standard (s): M 4: Understanding the post-secondary education and lifelong learning are necessary for long term career success.
Materials:
Spring Conference Sign Up Link (please include students first and last name)
Procedures- Part I:
Please work with each one of your students on scheduling their conference time.
If they need a translator, make sure to schedule that time in this link Translator Sign Up
Each student in your Connections will have a folder with pertinent information for you to share with student/parent(s) briefly (5 – 10 minutes).
Please strongly emphasize to parents to visit with all teachers where the students is not performing well
Please reach out to any students parents that you have in class that are failing (or close to) and/or that you have behavior concerns about to encourage them to meet with you.
Post your schedule for both nights so parents can easily see when you are available.
If students need DMACC Registration form on conference night, please advise them to stop by DMACC's informational table in the commons.
*Connections Teachers will receive your students information to go in their folders next week.
Procedures- Part II- DMACC Perry Career Academy Presentation @ 9:30
Walk students to the PPAC, instruct them where to fill in sections of the auditorium.
Presentation will last about 20 minutes. (all student EXCEPT seniors will be at presentation)
