How do I create online lessons with assessments?

In view of the recent pandemic situation caused by the COVID-19 and mandatory Home-Based Learning (HBL), all face-to-face lessons have to be converted into online lessons. Prioritizing course requirements, becoming proficient with appropriate technologies, and digitizing course materials will help you feel more at ease during these uncertain times. What do I need to prepare my lessons for online delivery?

Do keep the following items handy as you would need them in the creation of online learning lessons with assessments.

  • Lesson plan with learning objectives, activities and assessments clearly stated (OBTL/constructive alignment)

  • Teaching slides, videos, online resources

  • Microsoft PowerPoint (Office 365*) installed on your laptop

  • Login to NTULearn Blackboard account

  • Blackboard course has been created

  • Laptop with web camera + headset with microphone

* Obtain a Microsoft Office 365 application for your laptop, Send a request via ServiceNow.

How do I create lesson with assessments online?

A series of modules have been designed to specifically help you discover how to teach effectively online using NTULearn (Blackboard). A step-by-guide is also provided to guide you 'hands on' process to create your online lessons.

Module 1 takes you through 4 simple steps to create online lesson with assessment.
