Sorry again for my recent absence, but I have some new terrific tips to share with you. This one is great for the beginning of the school year.

There is very little as frustrating as a student who cannot find work due to a messy Google Drive. I came up with a solution for this and require my students to do this.

Have students create a folder for previous work they want to keep, but don't need anymore. Then have them put all of those pesky products into it. I also have students put previous Google Classrooms that they are no longer enrolled in into the folder.

I am building a flexible green screen for my classroom. It will be 9 ft by ~18 ft.

A craft store that I frequent was having a terrific sale two weeks ago. So, I splurged.

I bought 5 - 3 yard cuts of solid green broadcloth @ $1.99/yd. The thread was also 40% off. Plus, I had a coupon to take an extra 20% my entire purchase. My green screen cost about $30.

Now for the bad news. I had to get the yardage from two different bolts. Even though it is the same fabric, the dyes are not a perfect match. I bought it anyway. Now I have to take the fabric back and have the yardage cut from the SAME bolt.

My son, a film major, told me that the green screen apps may pick up the difference in the dye colors.

Sigh! I asked the person behind the counter if they thought the difference would be noticeable, and they said no.

Lesson - do your research BEFORE buying anything!
