The Research Week celebration at MSU-IIT is set to feature a keynote address by Dr. Leslie Michelle M. Dalmacio, President, NRCP and Vice Chancellor for Research – UP Manila, focusing on research and development. The primary objective of this event is to showcase the university's innovative research to the public. Research outputs spanning natural sciences, engineering, and social sciences will be presented in various booths. Faculty and students will have opportunities to participate in research and innovation-related activities, including policy orientation, proposal writing workshops, research colloquia, patent awareness sessions, article writing workshops, research exhibits, and recognition of outstanding researchers from 2023. MSU-IIT has secured substantial external research funding of close to half a billion pesos and has been designated a Niche Center in the Region for R&D (NICER) in Sustainable Polymers. This Research Week highlights the institution's commitment to advancing research and innovation.

The Orientation of OVCRE Policies activity will provide an overview of important university research policies, including Research deloading, research dissemination, publication awards, and internally funded projects. Additionally, the event will highlight the significance of in-house journals such as APJSME, Langkit, and Mindanao Forum. The Fablab will showcase its prototyping facilities, emphasizing their value. KTTO will educate the MSU-IIT community on intellectual property protection and the potential for generating income through royalties. IDEYA will assist faculty and students in brainstorming ideas, including discussions on spin-offs and start-ups. PRISM and RIEIT will also exhibit their current research and innovation activities.

The Student Research Colloquia is an event where undergraduate and graduate students from diverse academic backgrounds come together to showcase their scholarly work and research to the public. This platform encourages a fresh perspective on research, providing a forum for discussing a wide spectrum of innovative ideas and initiatives in fields such as communicative arts, humanities, health sciences, education, engineering, natural sciences, and mathematics. The Research Proposal writing for Externally Funded Projects for Faculty activity aims to empower faculty researchers in crafting high-quality research proposals for external grants. The goal is to produce either a concise capsule proposal or a comprehensive proposal ready for submission to funding agencies like DOST, CHED, and others. This initiative is essential to enhance faculty research and innovation by tapping into external support, which not only expands the University's resource base but also elevates institutional and individual recognition. The Closing Program and Recognition of All Researchers is a prestigious event where individuals are celebrated and awarded certificates, medals, or trophies in various categories. Recognition is extended to faculty who have published in Scopus-indexed journals, faculty and students who have excelled with best paper, best presenter, and best poster awards at national and international conferences. Additionally, faculty researchers who secured external funding for their projects in 2023, completed their 2022 internally funded projects on schedule, published creative works in national or international publications, and contributed to international peer-reviewed journals are all acknowledged for their remarkable scholarly achievements and dedication to research excellence.
