We invited faculty, staff, students, alumni and friends to share what they love about MSU-IIT. Here's what they shared.
I have been a content creator since 2015 but only recently did I realize that the video I shot inside the campus in 2006 was the first YouTube vlog about MSU-IIT. Being a 2nd generation IITian, I will always be proud of where I came from.

I love MSU-IIT because it empowers its students to realize their full potential.
When I am just applying for the Ayala Young Leaders Congress 2022 of the Ayala Group of Companies, I reached out to different offices of the institute relevant to my application. Though online, I am amazed at how fast they respond and provide the necessary documents critical for the application process.
Now, I am part of the Top 84 Student Leaders across the country in the ongoing AYLC 2022. I am forever grateful that MSU-IIT played a crucial role in this milestone. Mabuhay ang Dakilang Pamantasan!

I love how MSUIIT encouraged us to be the best educators we can be. We are now equipped with knowledge and skills to move forward towards the 21st century. We were able to create extension programs and activities despite the challenges. Created webinar series to boost our understanding and support during the time of the Pandemic. We are blessed. We are MSUIIT.

I grew up at MSU-IIT since my mother was a faculty here for 40 years. As a 90s kid, I remember running around the buildings and climbing the trees together with the children of the employees, touching the pawikan in CSM, buying at the heaven stores, sitting on the benches at the himantayon avenue, buying at the coop grocery, riding the sikad of the vendors who roamed around the campus, etc. I spent my college years here and after working for a few years outside Iligan, I came back to MSU-IIT. Even though my Nanay Odang is already gone, I can still feel her presence through the happy memories that I had with her, with the employee Titos and Titas who took care of me since I was a child, the teachers, classmates, and friends.
One of the things that I love about MSU-IIT is… it became a home to me."

MSU-IIT is my alma mater. It gives me all the opportunities in life; welcoming and warm people; comfortable environment; and a place for me to develop personally and professionally. Thus, I am forever grateful to MSU-IIT!

It would be an understatement to claim that my experiences in MSU-IIT can be summed up in a couple of sentences. However, one of the things I love about MSU-IIT is the very fact that both students and the faculty have shown courage and leadership in the face of adversity. Thank you MSU-IIT for giving me that opportunity to lead the College of Education filled with impactful projects, collaboration and linkages, initiaves, and fun-filled events. Mabuhay at dakila ka, MSU-IIT!

What I love about my alma mater is its humilty in the face of its gradeur as an educational institution. On the outside, there are stories or hearsays I come across about IITians feeling all great and mighty. When I was a college student here, I barely stay in campus when there are no classes cuz for me my college days in IIT are the best. Sa college, diha ko nakauyab (perslab) 🤣 ug magbanda banda, nagsugod makibaka being part of Stand IIT and its allied student organizations, met great poets and writers from CEGP and Silahis during poetry nights, jammed to band competitions and mga P100 na concerts sa mga banda like Eheads and Parokya ni Edgar, sa backstage sa Gym I got the autographs of Ely and Chito, diri pod ko sa IIT na exposed to experiential learning bcuz learning is not confined sa classroom.Being a Psych student under Sir Nacua & Ma'am Maranda, my classroom was a psychiatruc facility in Vicente Sotto in Cebu, a quarry in Kiwalan, a rural area in Bukidnon and even the city hall and streets of Iligan tagging along with local ABS-CBN crew to gather news. Now that I am part of MSU-IIT workforce, entering its gate felt both weird and prideful. Weird because it reminded me of the carefree bugay bugay version of the younger me even the resourceful and madiskarte me when makakikik kag P250 sa 500 na hatag sa imong Mama kay 250 ra imong bayrunon pagpa enroll kay di man ko scholar, schooler ra jud ko😅 pero dyes pesos ra man ang per unit ug 21 units ra jud ang normal load. Prideful because as they say pag daw nakasulod kag MSU-IIT banggiitan daw ka (whether as a student or as an amployee) well I guess that may be true because what I am also proud of about my school is no matter how far it has gone and reached and achieved as a university, it does not stop continuing to improve itself. MSU-IIT has always imbibed and incurred upon itself thr goal of excellence in learning and instruction, cultural awareness, research and innovation and as a Guidance Counselor here in IIT we are striving for both advocacy and multisectoral engagement in promoting, protecting and preserving the mental health of young adults entrusted to our care....the same young adult that I was 2 decades ago. Thank you IIT, it's nice to be here again🥰 #msuiitislove ❤

It is way back on May 27, 2022, that for the 1st time I was able to step my foot inside the IIT campus. I was amazed to see the state-of-the-art facilities and the very clean environment that the campus has, indeed a truly world-class institution. It is also in my great appreciation how the campus has a very good security system where you can feel that you are safe while staying inside since almost every corner has security personnel assigned.

I never had a very good attitude towards going school, somehow MSU helps me learn to love the process of learning and become competitive. It took me 7 years to finish my degree, t'was not quick and ideal but i am very glad to had spent that 7 years with my ever patient teachers.
