The 13th ASTHRDP Graduate Scholars' Conference

The Department of Science and Technology - Science Education Institute (DOST-SEI), in collaboration with the National Science Consortium, will hold the 13th ASTHRDP Graduate Scholars' Conference with the theme "Advancing Climate Action and Environmental Stewardship for the Well-being of Every Filipino" on 18-19 September 2025 at Cagayan de Oro City, Misamis Oriental. The main activities will include oral and poster presentations, and plenary talks.

This year's conference is chaired and hosted by the Mindanao State University - Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT) and co-chaired by Central Luzon State University (CLSU).

The 13th ASTHRDP Graduate Scholars' Conference aims:

- to provide a venue for scholars to share their respective thesis or dissertation outputs to fellow scholars and academics;
- provide a venue for opportunities for research collaborations within the scientific community;
- and, to facilitate the sharing of knowledge and experiences to further their capacities especially in this rapidly-advancing digital age.

The Accelerated Science and Technology Human Resource Development Program (ASTHRDP)

The Accelerated Science and Technology Human Resource Development Program (ASTHRDP) is a graduate scholarship program being implemented by the Science Education Institute of the Department of Science and Technology (SEI-DOST), in collaboration with the National Science Consortium (NSC). It is a program in the basic and applied sciences for the pursuance of Master in Science (MS) and Doctorate (PhD) degrees in priority Science & Technology areas. Its main objective is to help improve the country's global competitiveness and capability to innovate through Science & Technology and to accelerate the production of high-level human resources needed for research and development in Science & Technology.

The Nation Science Consortium (NSC)

This National Science Consortium (NSC) is composed of eleven (11) member-universities namely: Ateneo De Manila University (ADMU), Central Luzon State University (CLSU), De La Salle University (DLSU), Mindanao State University - Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT), University of the Philippines - Diliman (UPD), University of the Philippines - Los Banos (UPLB), University of the Philippines - Manila (UPM), University of the Philippines - Visayas (UPV), University of San Carlos (USC), University of Santo Tomas - Manila (UST-M), and Visayas State University (VSU). The ASTHRDP Graduate Scholars Conference is a venue for the ASTHRDP scholars, faculty, and mentors to get together, gain updates on new developments in Science & Technology and present research outputs.
