We use our fine motor skills to make small muscle movements. These small coordinated movement allow us to button and zip our clothes, take lids of objects, eat, cut, write, put together puzzles, hold small items, and many other tasks.
Fine motor skills are important for children in the school setting who are focusing on writing, cutting, and coordination to help get them successfully through the school day.
