Physical Activity Tips

MR. FRAAD'S PHYSICAL ACTIVITY TIPS:

  1. Make physical activity part of your daily routine.

  2. Allow enough time for unstructured free-play.

  3. Keep a variety of games and sports equipment on hand.

  4. Be active together. Make it a family thing.

  5. Limit time spent in sedentary activities such as: watching TV, using electronic devices, and playing video games.

  6. Most of the physical activity should be aerobic where kids use larger muscles and continue for a period of time.

  7. Muscle strength and bone strengthening physical activity should be included at least 3 days a week.

  8. Kids who enjoy sports and exercise tend to stay active throughout their lives.

  9. Reduce sugar intake.

  10. Increase water intake.

  11. Be vigorously active for at least 60 minutes a day.
